About Us

Flavors of the World catering services is a small, unique, personalized food business, created by Tinaz Cooper,  based in  Virginia, USA. 

Our journey began in July 2017, when I was juggling a full time job with my passion for cooking as well as corporate catering. I managed to do that till 2020 when I lost my job due to the pandemic. At that point I decided to focus on my catering business full time, and haven’t looked back ever since.

It’s been a rewarding but rollercoaster experience over the past 8 years, struggling to make it through the pandemic with all the ensuing problems. The business survived thanks to the support and encouragement of our clients in the USA and worldwide. They have helped to spread the word far and wide !

For the first few years we offered only Mail-orders and Pickup orders. But once the pandemic situation improved, there was high demand for healthy, homemade meals, by busy working professionals who were called back to the office. So we started offering the Personal Chef service at clients’ homes in the DC metro area, taking all the necessary Covid precautions. Now we also offer Uber home deliveries in the VA, DC, MD area.

Thus, over the years, we’ve had to constantly adapt, improvise, persevere and have faith in ourselves and the business.

We have served 39 states of the USA over the past 8.5 years..…and aim to cover all 50 states soon !
